Penny Auctions - what the hell have I got myself into

A week ago I discovered Beezid.com. What I found opened me up to another whole new world. A world full of excitement and frustration. Well, mostly frustration. I am fascinated with these "Penny Auctions". I'll call them that for now because, well, that's what they're called. The word Penny is way off and so is Auction but we'll go with the accepted term for now.

I've come to the conclusion that Penny Auctions are very closely related to gambling. I play poker online and in casinos. I also play some roulette in casinos on occasion. Penny Auctions are a combination of auctions, roulette, and poker. In all these cases different strategies are used to attempt to win. Luck is involved of course in all three of these also. Yes even real auctions require a bit of luck to get the deals you want. The web is FULL of advice for poker players and roulette players. I figured there should be a ton of advice for Penny Auction gamblers also. Well, I haven't found much. There is the basic stuff like any gambling; go in with a plan, have a budget, know when to quit, know all the odds. These kind of things will fit any type of spending actually.

There are thousands of people online at the sites and most are losers. Let's make that CLEAR. These auctions won't work if most people don't lose. That's sort of like the feeling I get when I hear about pyramid schemes. Only the ones at the top make the money. Well, I don't want to get involved in this just to be another loser. What I've decided to do is write this blog about what I've discovered and hopefully get some feedback from others just like me.

I have found a couple of blogs that talk about Penny Auctions. Two of them were just reviewers and even though that's helpful it's not what I'm looking for. I did find another blogger but he's only got a couple of posts in a month. I'll be posting much more than that. If anything I'll have a place to keep track of all my notes and ideas for me to review and develop plans and strategies for different sites.
